5/8/06 In the can - Mixing is complete for the new Earwig record and it’s been shipped off to the Mastering house. The cover has still to be designed and then we can send it all to be completed and available online by mid June. There’s not a whole lot of news other than that. Work on the new website is still underway over at LBV headquarters. That too should be up and running by mid June.

12/10/05 Freaky Trend Busters - In case you are new to the Earwig online universe, here are some facts. Earwig is hard at work on a new CD to be released in Jan. ‘06. For those who can’t wait ‘til then, the super-duper spectacular Earwig DVD - Year Of The Drag is available to buy now online. 11/22/05 Waiting for it to happen - Earwig has several songs in the new documentary FANatical, out now. We’re gearing up for the Wanger-a-thon  next Friday, Dec. 2nd at Skully’s in Columbus. The whole night will be a tribute to the genius that is Matt Wagner and will feature performances from his many bands. Won’t you please be there?

11/02/05 Center Of The Earwig - Oh what subtle heaven...it’s fall in Ohio.  Earwig is hard at work with producer Eric French finishing up the overdubs for our upcoming album. There’s just a bit of lap steel guitar to add and some guest keyboards by Jess Faller and Brad Swiniarski, also a bit of cello from Dan Gerkin. We’ve also found some time for a few local shows. We’ll see you next from the stage at Cafe Bourbon Street with the groovey Patsys and Kola Koca Death Squad. Never go quietly...

10/11/05 Catch The White Wave - Fresh Powder! Winter’s on it’s way and Earwig music is featured in a new extreme skiing & snow boarding film. “Lines Of Influence”, directed by Itai Nemovicher, hits theaters this month and the DVD is available online at www.OmenProductions.com . This documentary film has plenty of death defying stunt footage set to music by Son Ambulance, Flogging Molly, Earwig and others. Video footage (directed by Allan Foster/LBV Prod.) of Earwig is included in the Bonus Materials section of the DVD release too.

10/01/05 Coming Around The Mountain - The search is on for possible titles for the new record. Log onto the Message Board to post yr suggestions. We’re finishing up the recording & mixing this month and we’ll be playing a few shows here and there. See Earwig at Anydyman’s Treehouse w/ (the fab) Trapper John on Thursday, Oct. 13th. Look out!

9/18/05 Attack of the Pop Pop - We’ve completed the basic tracks for 12 songs and now we’re back in Columbus. We will finish recording and mixing with Eric French over the next 2 months. The plan is to have the new album completed and ready for you by X-mas. Given our track record, that means you’ll likely have a copy sometime around 2012.

9/12/05 Earwig Go Boom! - We’re finally off to the Windy City to record our next starkly intimate, yet globally unifying album. It is a heavy load to bear, but we are ready for the task...and we do this for you. Feel free to keep in touch via the LFM message board. Or just leave a message and encourage Matt to continue his online diary or detail our current recording adventures. He needs the encouragement. Salvation is at hand!

8/25/05 Look Who’s Blogging - Well, well, well. If it isn’t Earwig’s own Matty Wags, with his very own online tour diary! Earwig is back from our summer tour. There were beautiful times and there were ugly times. Now you can read all about it in the online tour diary from Earwig’s bassist, Matt Wagner. Humorous and sad, brave and witty...it’s all there for you to enjoy. So go read it and leave ol’ Matt a message! more updates will follow soon.

7/19/05 Gone Daddy Gone! - Yes Earwig has left the building and this page will likely not be updated until we return from our tour on Aug. 19th. That night we’re having a big local DVD release show for “Year Of The Drag” at Little Brother’s in Columbus (Friday, Aug. 19th). So be there if you can. If you have anything else that you want to say, or need to get ahold of the band, we will check in from time to time and post updates from the road on the message board.

7/15/05 Fearless Music TV has just contacted Earwig about coming to their NYC studio to tape a performance by the band. We’ll be filming our segment next week while we’re in the area on tour. The show will then broadcast later on Warner Cable. You can watch the Fearless Music TV on PAX“I” Independent TV, Sat. nights at midnight starting Sept. 3rd Check local listings for channel info.Look here for more info about Fearless Music TV and a list of other bands that have performed on the show.

7/11/05   All of the tour dates are up now. I’ve listed the days that are open and where we really need shows in RED on the tour page. If you live in any of those towns and want to host a house party, we’d love to play. If you have any booking suggestions for any of those dates, please drop us an email. The new DVD is doing well, thanks to everyone that has bought a copy so far.
