4/13/08 – Sympathies Run High Tonight – As I type this, I can hear a thunderstorm in the distance. Or maybe they’re bombs. However it drops, it’s coming. I know that much. We just started a new blog. It’s called Night Cusser. You can find it here. Wags and I will be writing about a variety of things and we’ll try to update it regularly.
Very soon, we’ll have the new video for Used Kids up. And best of all, a new Techno Break Beat remix of Used Kids by DJ Peter Carli. It’s a booty-shakin’, dance-floor BOMB! You’ll love it, I promise.

02/23/08 - Earwig Gets The Timbal From Bubba The Love Sponge! - Earwig now has the seal of approval from the Bubba The Love Sponge Show. Each week, the Sirius Satellite Radio show features 2 unsigned bands and reviews 3 songs apiece. Earwig's recordings of Romantic/Dyslexic, Drag, and Outro, were pulled from the "Inbox of Dreams" by Spiceboy, and were approved by the show. Bubba, Brent , Manson, Ned and Spiceboy all agreed that Earwig was a cut above the rest. After the songs were played, Lizard had on an-air interview with the guys at BTLS. Since then, we’ve been swamped with lots of new interest from all over the country. Hello to all our new BTLS fans, we hope to do more with those guys in the future. But the real question still remains unanswered… does Earwig still get Carson 's Ribs if they actually like our music?
Earwig also recently got the nod from the highly influential new music discovery blog The Daily Chorus. TDC listed Earwig at #21 on their list of the Top Unsigned Bands in America . Please check out the above link and leave a positive message about Earwig on the site.
Right now we’re working on a video for Used Kids, a new message board, digital album downloads and recording the new album. No new shows are scheduled just yet, but we’ll let you know soon.
01/11/2008 - Out with a Bang! - 2007 was a great year for Earwig and we finished it out with a smash. Thanks to everyone who came out for the A&F Xmas bash in December.
‘Used Kids’ was a hit on CD101, landing Earwig at the #15 slot in the station’s year end Top 101 Most Requested songs of the year! We also broke into the top 1000 (#908) of all time requests at the station. Thanks to everyone that called, emailed, and texted a request to CD101. Keep requesting the song as much as you want to hear it. They are real good about playing any request they get.
A remix DJ is working on a new re-mix of ‘Used Kids’ for 2008. We are sending out the tracks to him this month so he can get started. Check back soon to get the Earwig dance version of "Used Kids".
We’ll be laying low for a while as we work on tracks for the new album with mega producer Eric French, due later this year. We hope this new album will be an even greater success than "Center of the Earth" has been.
We’ve got a lot of new things heating up on the back burner with some big touring plans as well. We will announce those for this year as soon as they are settled.
11/5/07 Ultimate Earwig! - We've just finished tracking 14 new songs for Earwig's next studio album with mega-producer Eric French in Columbus, OH.
The session was the best we've ever had and we're really excited to finish up these songs, we'll be working on the record over the next few months.
We have a few live gigs, Fri. Nov. 30th at Skully's in Columbus, OH and we've been asked to play the annual A&F Christmas Party bash at the LC/Basement in December.
Our recent tour went well (we're all still alive) and we wanted to say hello again and thanks to everyone that came out to see us play.

Earwig was featured recently on FOX Channel 28 on the Palestra Music Entertainment show. Footage included live performance and an interview of the band from their show at The LC Pavilion 3 weeks ago. This month we'll be filming a video for 'She is a Witness' starring the lovely and talented Anna Margiotti of the nanny fame. Look for several more reviews, ads and some features on Earwig this fall in The Big Takeover, Verbicide, Wonka Vision, Magnet, AP and more.

7/8/2007 – Collecting Dust? - Earwig is collectively collecting our thoughts this month. We've had a busy past few months and now's the time to devote ourselves towards plans for the future. That means no live dates in July. Our next show is Friday, August 10 th at The LC Pavilion opening up for pop-rocking, mega-watt, guitar-heroes Watershed at their CD release party. We'll expect to see you there. Until then, you can assume that we'll be working on booking Midwest tour dates for this September and October, filming a new video for release this fall and working out the kinks with our new songs as we prepare to record out next album in October.
Remember: Earwig's new album ‘Center Of The Earth' and our last record ‘Perfect Past Tense' are both available through iTunes and just about every other digital outlet imaginable. If you don't have them yet, now's the time. Come help us celebrate the “Summer of Downloading!”
6/6/2007 - Good Vibrations - Summer is finally here in Columbus . I think we all know what that means… beer tokens, fish boats and sunburn! That's right, Comfest. If you're not from Ohio , you probably won't understand the significance of this Cowtown summer tradition. This year Earwig will be joining the stellar line-up of Columbus' finest bands at THE largest non-corporate, outdoor music festival in the world. Earwig is playing the main stage on Friday night (June 22nd ), so get there early and stay all day…it's FREE . After Earwig's set at Comfest, roll on over to Little Brother's for the after-party where we'll be sharing hosting duties with the glorious Church Of The Red Museum and underground ball-busters Necropolis. See Earwig's Myspace or the shows page for a list of upcoming gigs. Also, check out Earwig's Favorite Fan and the new Earwig Juke Box. The jukebox has our last 3 albums on it. Look for other tracks to be added soon.
If you haven't heard, Earwig's new CD ‘Center Of The Earth' is now available at all Meijer stores for a special low price . Thanks to everyone who has emailed to let us know that they heard Earwig over the sound system at Meijer and picked up a copy! And also thanks to everyone who wrote after our performance on FOX's ‘Good Morning Columbus last month. The disc is doing so well that we'll be re-releasing it nationally in September and following it up with a Midwest/East Coast tour this fall. Look for Earwig's feature in Columbus Monthly Magazine in early July as well as a capsule review in Alternative Press this month (AP #228, out June 7 th ). The Big Takeover magazine says 'Center Of The Earth' is “ An essential collection of indelible hooks, sharp wit and bright power-pop.” We happen to agree.
04/21/2007 - All Across the Universe - It's turning into a good year for Earwig. The band just completed a distribution deal with Meijer to make Earwig's new CD 'Center Of The Earth' available in all 178 Meijer stores in 5 states. You can look for the Earwig CD ad in the Meijer circular every Sunday from May 20th through June 10th. The album will be available for a special discounted price only through Meijer . So call yr cousins in Kentucky ...and if you've been waiting to pick it up, get down to Meijer before they're all gone.

3/22/2007 - Your Efforts Have Helped! - Earwig has been asked to play the CD101Day show in Columbus on Saturday, April 14th at the LC. Tickets are only $5 and other bands on the bill include Under The Influence Of Giants, Pilot Speed, and Denovo Dahl . This is Earwig's only "all ages" show in the next few months, so don't miss it. Earwig will also be featured in C Magazine and MELT magazine in Columbus in April.
We've got songs in the top 5 at WWCD/Columbus, WOBN, WCMU, WCBE ACRN and a show on Sirius.. Keep the requests coming. We hope to add 'Japanese Girlfriend' to rotation at CD101soon. Earwig is also #4 at WXCU, #22 at www.Ohio.fm . Earwig has a review coming out in April in The Big Takeover magazine. Check the shows page for lots of gigs coming up in April in Columbus. As we dig tunnels and crawl out from under the Ohio snow, Earwig is making plans to begin recording for our next album. It will be some time before it sees the light of day, but that doesn't mean you can't hear the new batch of songs we're working on. 1/09/2007 -Earwig's Wild Radio Ride - More stations are adding Earwig to rotation play everyday. So we've created this helpful page to help you keep it all straight. It will tell you what radio stations are playing the new album and how you can tune in and request Earwig's songs. So click that link, check out the info, and keep those requests coming. Earwig's song Japanese Girlriend is featured in the new indie film 'OZhio' by Steve Anderson. The film premiers in Columbus, Ohio at MADLAB on January 27th, but you can check out the trailer now on YouTube .

12/20/06 - This Radio is Killing! - We are proud to announce that CD101 , central Ohio's biggest and best Modern Rock station has added Earwig's new single "Used Kids" to their rotation playlist! You can listen online to CD101 here . This is great news and we've had a ton of response to the song so far. Please shoot the station an email or phone call (614)221-1011 to request our song.
Earwig has also been added to the rotation at influential independent station KEXP in Seattle . The DJ for the morning show there, John Richards is an Earwig fan and a helluva guy. 10/27/06 - Earwig's Promotional Tsunami! : There is a great new review of 'Center of the Earth' from the ITunes website. It is posted on our message board here. Go read it. His fabulous new book about Nirvana "Oh well, whatever. Nevermind" is out next month. Pick one up.

10/17/06 - Holy Patellar Swelling Batman! Earwig had a fantatstic night at the official CD release show for 'Center Of The Earth'. Everyone got plenty of the new CDs ,T-shirts and rock-n-roll gymnastyks. Cafe Bourbon Street was packed to the gills and the opening sets by The Proper Nouns and The Rosehips were full of thrills. The real action took place towards the end of Earwig's set with Lizard throwing himself into the ceiling and around the stage. Thanks to those of you who have been emailing with concerns that Lizard broke his knee in two. Ouch! It looked pretty scary but no crowd members were injured and everything seems to be just dandy. 9/25/06 - Paisley Park is in yr heart - The new CD has arrived at LFM HQ and everything seems right with the world, for the moment at least. "Center of the Earth" is Earwig's 3rd CD on LFM Records and was recorded over the last year in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio by Eric French. We're shipping this CD out across the world and now is the time to act! Order yr CD here or come see Earwig on Saturday, October 14th at Cafe Bourbon Street in Columbus (the official C.O.T.E. CD release party) and pick up a copy at the show. Either way it's only $10, so what'r you waiting for? These puppies are flying off the shelves...well not really. We don't have any shelves. The CDs are in big boxes, but flying out of the boxes just doesn't seem to have the same ring to it. But they are selling quickly.
The new message board is up and running smoothly. Come on in sign up and let us know what you think of the new record. There are lots of promotions coming up and you should be seeing Earwig's name popping up more and more.

8/29/06 Flying Fists of Fury! -Earwig's new album, "Center Of The Earth" should be available to order here starting on Sept. 19th, 2006. It should be available at all our live shows, hopefully starting on Sept. 14th. We've got plenty of shows this fall and a CD release show in October in Columbus. We'll be sending the CD out to radio and letting all of our Myspace friends know. So help us spread the word. Get ready for the Massive Onslaught!
8/14/06 Welcome to the Terror Dome - If you're here, then you already know that we have the new website up and running, sort of. Expect LOTS of updates and changes in the next few days and weeks to this site as we work out the kinks. Check back often and let us know what you think. We'll get the messege board going again soon. The new Earwig CD is in the oven and cooking, it should be available to buy on this website by mid-September. We're also booking new shows for the fall, so look for those dates too. Earwig's Myspace page has MP3s of two new tracks, go and get 'em!
5/8/06 In the can - Mixing is complete for the new Earwig record and it's been shipped off to the Mastering house. The cover has still to be designed and then we can send it all to be completed and available online by mid June. There's not a whole lot of news other than that. Work on the new website is still underway over at LBV headquarters. That too should be up and running by mid June.
3/31/06 Don't make a sound... In secret back room speakeasys all across Ohio, clandestine activities are being activated in the name of rock. A new website is in the works, album mixing continues and mastering agents are being contacted. New songs will be posted on Earwig's Myspace page as soon as they are mastered. Until then you will have to do with upcoming personal appearances by the band. See Earwig at Little Brother's in Columbus on Saturday, April 8th w/ Necropolis and Terribly Empty pockets.
2/21/06 Didn't you hear me the first time? - These things take time, people. It just a fact and we're all going to have to deal with it. ‘Center Of The Earth' is still in the final mixing stages. SOON to be finished. Then it has to be mastered, cover designed and reproduced. So we've got a little bit o' road left ahead of us folks. We will post fully mixed tracks when they are finished so you all can get a sneak preview. And we have a few live shows coming up...
