5/23/05 Summer of the Drag- A hearty thanks goes out to Allan Foster & David Andrews for putting the new Earwig DVD together. They did a great job. Check out Allan's website- www.cbusstuff.com for some cool stickers. The title of the DVD is -'Year of the Drag' and we should have them available for online purchase in about one month. 4/19/05 Are We Not ROBOTS? The EARWIG DVD will be released on June 17th with a big show at Supraphonic Studios in Columbus. Then EARWIG is coming to a town near you on a North American Tour for the summer with The Jaded (www.thejadedband.com). Until then, we're laying low and recording. 2/27/05 All together now! Well, it's finally happened. We've sold out of our last copy of Perfect Past Tense. If you need a copy of that CD though, you can try CDBaby.com , I think that they still have some copies. We should have the new record done in a couple of months, and don't worry...the Earwig DVD is still coming down the pipe as well. We have plenty of free songs to download over at our Purevolume.com page. Right now, we're concentrating on recording and finishing this new CD and a few other projects. 1/10/05 Just what are you implying? Earwig is bathing in the glory of a recent write-up in the Aberdeen, WA. (Kurt Cobain's hometown) weekly paper The Daily World. We're also getting more downloads from our Purevolume.com page everyday and will have a new song out soon on the upcoming compilation "Twenty Clicks From The Burn Brings The Boom" on Royal Star Music out of Portland. The compilation will feature the best new PureVolume bands. Upcoming Shows: Earwig hosts a Ladies Night at Casa Cantina in Athens, Ohio Thursday 1/20 and at Little Brothers in Columbus, Ohio Saturday 1/22. 12/26/03 If something doesn't exist... Create it. Oh, the holidays. Hope yr having fun. Things are busy, of course. But we are getting back on track with all things Earwig. The "Hand Held" - fan DVD is still in the pipes for January and there are a few shows lined up so far in 2005. First Thursday, Jan. 6th Lizard McGee plays solo at Andyman's Treehouse (with Dan Bandman, Joel Walter and Jon Chin) in Columbus, Ohio. Then Thurs. Jan. 20th, Fri. Jan 21st, Sat. Jan 22nd Earwig plays a series of shows with Thistle (from Cincinnati). 1/20 is at Casa Cantina in Athens, Ohio. 1/21 is at The Southgate House in Cincinnati and 1/22 is at Little Brothers in Cols. with MODENA VOX. And, yes, we are working on getting the message board back up, so keep checking back. |

9/23/04 This is not a Drill. The Earwig will be playing at Skully's in Columbus next Wednesday night (9/29/04) with RED UMBRELLA (from Canada) and The Blood Violets. We will be taping this show for a live video we're working on, so bring a friend. Recently confirmed for North Carolina; Saturday, Oct. 23rd at the Queen City Festival. And it looks like we're on the bill for the Vertical Slum shin-dig in November and the Blue Gator in Athens, Ohio for Friday, Oct. 15th. |

9/3/04 Just a Taste. Tonight, Friday September 3rd, Earwig will be playing at Pat's In The Flats in Cleveland as part of the DEAD END AMERICA Fest. We hit the stage at around 11pm, followed by the New Lou Reeds. And as a bonus, we've just added a show for Saturday night Sept. 4th (that's tomorrow, man) at Oldfield's in Columbus. Also on that bill are the fabulous Handshake and Chris McCoy. This is yr chance to come and be a part of the magic, instead of crying about it later. Do we understand each other? Oh yeah...Earwig had a fruitful recording session last Monday, cementing the basic tracks for several new songs for the upcoming record and a couple of covers. |

8/21/04 Under The Radar. Earwig will be at Oldfield's on High Street this comintg Saturday, August 28th w/ New Black and The Shatters. This is one of very few local shows planned in the near future and you should really come out and take an active roll in the Empire Building that is Rock-n-Roll in America. We're still working on some recordings for the upcoming record through the rest of this month and probably September. So we hope that you'll get to hear some new stuff 'round October or so. ...also planning a trip down to North Carolina for October, look out. |

6/28/04 Now That Was Smashing! Earwig had a really bang-up show at Comfest last night. We hope that you were there. After a few technical difficulties, we got off to a swimming set and made it through about half of the songs we'd intended. If you had a request and didn't get to hear it, sorry. We can make it up to you soon...'cause we've got more shows coming up this month. Check us Friday, July 16th at Skully's with LORI and Saturday, July 17th at the MadLab Volitility festival (10pm/inside). 4/18/04 All You Zombies! Don't hide your faces from Earwig. We've got two shows coming down the pike this week and we'd love to see you at them both. First off is Thursday night (4/22) at Flannigan's in Dublin with Kopaz. These guys are the bee's knees and we're glad to finally be playing a show with them. 4/03/04 It's Hard To Explain. Earwig just got home from our trip down south to NC. The sun was shining and everyone down there was full of hospitality. What can we say...t'was superb. We are coordinating our efforts to pass a bill through the senate that will allow us to return there in June. We have a huge show coming next week at Bourbon Street in Columbus with Renaissance Doves, Marvin The Robot and The Damnwells. The Damnwells (ex-Whiskeytown) are just sooo damn fine, MtR is crazy-cool and Renaissance Doves feature all of the past members of Greenhorn...can I get a Whoopie!? 3/14/04 The Curious Case Of The Earwig. Whoo-hooo. The furious, dancing skinheads were out in force at least week's gigs, moshing up a slam-dancing thunderstorm as Earwig thrashed the club. Maybe it's 'cause Earwig scored big and took home 3 trophies at this year's CGLFJM Awards ceremony (Computer Generated Lesbians For Jesus Music Awards). Maybe not. But was that Tiger Woods doing the moonwalk with Bobby Fischer in the VIP section at Earwig's last Bernie's gig? Come see for yrself what all of the fuss is about as Earwig plays Jags in Dayton on Fri-3/19 and Radio Down in Cincinatti 3/20. |

3/02/04 Rub My Belly ( for good luck ). Earwig's show at RED 16 was a huge success!! What a blast. We sold more merchandise Saturday night than at any show in recent memory. I hope you all enjoy the new live disc, The Donkey. I'll put a link up soon, so you will be able to buy them through the website. Earwig is playing in Bloominton, Indiana (all ages @ Rhino's) this weekend (Saturday, March 6th) we've got lots out of town dates coming down the pipe, so we're keeping busy. 2/18/04 That'll do Donkey, that'll do. Earwig has a new live disc available at their upcoming shows. It's called 'The Donkey' and was recorded live in stereo to a VCR at a coffeehouse in Athens, Ohio last December. It's a very nice, open and laid back CD with 12 songs, some new, some old. 'The Donkey' features versions of 4 new songs from the upcoming Earwig record (due this summer), Not About You, Shiny Morning, Next Christmas and Wicked. 12/17/03 I've had my fun. Earwig's drummer Joshua is away on a Top Secret/Black Ops mission. We miss him but are still going to play this Saturday at Bourbon Street. Joining us on the drums will be none other than Justin Crooks (of past Earwig and the Jive Turkeys fame)!!!! And did we mention that Townsmen & In Boxes will be there as well? We've also got a couple of shows lined up in January (shows page) one of which is a Donewaiting.com show. It should be very cool and comes complete with an all out rock performance from Columbus' own The Stepford Five and two bands from Cleveland. 12/01/03 Meet Me Tonight. Ian's Birthday show was a huge success. Ian actually got up and sang a couple of songs and even played bass on Anything! And Tiara was great, as is their new record. 8/16/03 Earwig show attacked by Killer Blast Wurm!! First the sneaky bastard blacked out NYC and halted all flights out to Columbus, thus thwarting the arrival of some special out of town Earwig fans. Then the Blaster Wurm showed up at the show in the form of the Fire Marshall and tried to shut down Little Brother's for fire code violations. And as if that wasn't enough the Wurm then proceeded to swallow fellow Columbus-ites The Jive Turkey's alive! So they didn't get to play. Other than that, we had a super-fantastic show. Many thanks to 84 Nash for filling in at the last moment and playing the show. There should be some pictures posted soon. |

6/26/03 I saw spaceships on TV! For all of you Roswell fans out there, Earwig's song "Best Kept Secret" is featured in the upcoming DVD release of the Roswell TV series. The scene with our song takes place at the local alien hangout/diner called the Crashdown Cafe. You know, 9 out of 10 aliens prefer Earwig on the jukebox!! The DVD "Nirvana: The Untold Stories" is now available from Chrome Dreams. It can be purchased through AMAZON.COM and will be broadcast on BBC television next month. Everybody who watches this documentary is going to get an earful of Earwig music! The producers of the DVD got to be big Earwig fans while they were in Seattle filming and interviewing grunge scensters like Jack Endino, Steve Fisk and the legendary Jeff Burlingame!!
